CSRW and Carolina Cockers Rescue require adopters to purchase Pet Health Insurance on every puppy under the age of six months. Proof of Pet Insurance will be required at the time you pick up your pet. That may be in the form of a printed receipt from any Pet Insurance company. You will not be able to pick up your puppy without this proof.

While we do not require Pet Insurance on dogs over 6 months of age we strongly encourage it. These are rescued animals and have come from unfortunate situations. All pets travel with a current Interstate Health Certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian this does not however guarantee that the pet will not become ill at some time post adoption.

This practice is solely to protect you as our adopter. While 99.99% of the time our dogs are healthy, happy, wonderful pets we do not guarantee health problems will not occur we do not want you to face financial difficulty should this happen. We want happy adopters always.

Neither CSRW nor Carolina Cockers Rescue will issue refunds of Adoption Donations due to veterinary costs incurred post adoption.  Please make sure you have read your Adoption Agreement and bring a signed copy with you at the time you pick up your pet.  By signing your Adoption Agreement you are stating that you understand that you are not paying for a dog, you are contributing to the cause of rescuing homeless animals.

By some horrible occurrence should your pet pass away within one month post adoption through no fault of your own, your Adoption Donation will be fully refunded within 90 days after notification of death.  A copy of your vet record will be required.  If you are ever in doubt of whether to take your dog to the vet please call us immediately for advice.  Auto accidents, drowning, owner carelessness, etc are not covered by this practice.

Neither CSRW nor Carolina Cockers Rescue ensures that your dog will not be delivered with fleas/ticks. While every precaution has been taken to protect them they do tend to pick up parasites at our many stops during our travel. You have been advised to bathe your dog immediately in flea/tick shampoo. We will not issue Adoption Donation refunds for grooming, fumigating your automobile or home.
